Introduction to My Classes
My classes are structured around a series of grammatical PowerPoint Presentations. I do not use the textbooks from LHS (En Español 1 and 2—see bibliography) for a variety of reasons. But, I do structure my presentations according to the text. As you have seen above, each week’s lesson have a page reference with it so as to accommodate those who wish to use the text.
Here is what you can expect every week. I will follow this pattern strictly:
• Mondays: Bell Ringers (BR). Begin with Weekend High and Low; begin a new PPT; do new vocab; NO QUIZ.
• Tuesdays: BR. Continue with the PPT; do more vocab; end with a quiz.
• Wednesdays: BR. Finish any unfinished new material; do more vocab; end with a quiz.
• Thursdays: BR. Speaking/writing exercises (translations); do vocab review; end with a quiz.
• Fridays: BR. Grading and review. Vocab test. This will also be the day on which all major exams are given. This will also be our day for reading/writing exercises.

Grading Percentages:
Notebook = 20%
Homework/In-class Exercises = 20%
Quizzes = 30%
